# Import reviews from other apps (CSV)

> Help you migrate reviews from other reviews apps using a CSV file, XLSX file, Google Sheet. Contact support if migrate from Loox, Judge.me, Stamped, Shopify Product Reviews or any other review apps. 
We provide you with 2 options to import reviews from CSV files:

## Use a custom CSV file
### Google Sheets: To import reviews using the free spreadsheet app Google Sheets
**Step 1**:  Open [template here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_huL_8rVEZcQBzJxKLUM5bD3ur619GKF1b9nKlMhAhQ/copy?copyComments=true). Then make a copy

**Step 2**: Fill in the review data according to the instructions below
**Note**: Do not rename or remove any of the columns including the column titles.
| Column Title | Description | Example |
| -------- | -------- | -------- |
| **Product identifier** (Required)    | You can choose 1 of 3 options to fill this column: (1) product ID, (2) product handle or (3) product name | |
| (1) product ID   | To get an ID number, from your **Shopify admin**, go to **Products** > Click the name of the product > The last numbers of this product page link is the ID number  | example [here](https://prnt.sc/mEHnJH3LV7nh)   |
| (2) product handle    | To get the Product handle, please visit product URLs > copy the last part following **product/**    | example [here](https://prnt.sc/CZ3Iz3Jz0NGV)  |
| (3) product name    | To get the Product name, from your **Shopify Admin**, go to **Products** > Click products > Copy their names.    | example [here](https://prnt.sc/l9hWCYEHpdJw)   |
| **Customer_name** (Required)  | The name of the customer. The name will appear on the review exactly as inserted here.    | Jillian Le    |
| **Rating** (Required)  | Valid values are 1/2/3/4/5. Please use whole numbers only.    | 5    |
| **Date** (Optional)   | You can choose auto generate format  or self-customized date formats from your file.    |  |
| **Content** (Optional)   | The text of the review.    | Highly recommend this product!   |
| **Email** (Optional)   | You can leave this column empty if you don’t have the customer’s email address.   | example@gmail.com    |
| **Images** (Optional)   | A public URL for the review photo. | **Country** (Optional)   | The 2-letter country abbreviation codes. If you don’t know these codes, please look up at this page: https://laendercode.net/en/2-letter-list.html   | Canada is written as **CA**    |

**Step 3**: Download it as CSV before import to our app.
Click to **File** > **Download** > **Comma Separated Values (.csv)**.

**Step 4**: Go to **LAI app** > **Reviews** > **Import and Export** > **Other apps (CSV import)** > Select **Custom CSV file** > Upload the file.

* After uploading the CSV file, you can see a list of fields which need to match with compatible columns in the CSV file. All **red-asterisked** fields are required to be matched.
Then, click on **Import** and wait for reviews imported.

* After submitting the file, the file will be in **Importing** state, please reload the page to show other states of the file. You can download reports for import processes by clicking on **Download report** at **Import queues** section.

||| WARNING: CSV file can be formatted wrong when it's opened by Excel. For the best result, suggest merchants edit data by **Google Sheet template, try not to edit data by Excel. **When data is all set, save it as a CSV file and then upload that file to our app right away.

## Use reviews app templates

**Step 1**: Please prepare a standard template of one of review apps below:

  + LAI Product Reviews

  + Judge.me Product Reviews

  + Loox Product Reviews & Photos

  + Stamped Product Reviews & UGC

  + Opinew Product Reviews App UGC

  + Rivyo Product Reviews & QA

  + Fera Product Reviews App

  + Trustoo Product & Ali Reviews

  + Product Reviews

**Step 2**: Go to **LAI app** > **Reviews** > **Import and Export** > **Other apps (CSV import)** > Select one review app > Upload the file.

- **Override reviews**: Reviews in our app are replaced with some having similar review_IDs in the file you upload. 

**Step 3**: Click on **Import** and wait for reviews imported.
