A complete guide to show LAI widgets on your online store.

Step 1: Enable LAI Embed blocks

Please go to Shopify admin > select Online store > choose Themes > click on Customize.

Select App embeds > toggle on Embed blocks of LAI Product Reviews.

Step 2: Add LAI widgets

On 2.0 themes

1. Product reviews section

Go to the page you'd like to show LAI widgets, e.g. product pages.
Click on Add section > select Product reviews section > drag and drop the section where you'd like to place it > Click on Save.

2. Product star ratings

Click on Add block > select Product star ratings > drag and drop the section where you'd like to place it > Click on Save.

Import reviews from other apps (CSV)

Help you migrate reviews from other reviews apps using a CSV file, XLSX file, Google Sheet. Contact support if migrate from Loox, Judge.me, Stamped, Shopify Product Reviews or any other review apps. We provide you with 2 options to import reviews from CSV files:

Integrate Reviews with Google Shopping Product Listings

| Google's guidlines for reviews and rating: | 1. You must have a minimum of 50 reviews in your Product Ratings feed. | 2. Your reviews must follow Google’s content policies. | 3. Reviews should be of high quality (text and picture). | 4. All reviews must be synced (even low ratings).

Fill in Product Ratings Interest Form

Step 1: Log into your Google Merchant Center account or sign up for one

Step 2: Fill in Google's Product Ratings Interest Form

Step 3: Under “Do you work with an approved third-party reviews aggregator?:”, choose No. Then, answer other questions and submit the form.

Step 4: Reply to Google’s response

In a few days, you will receive an email from Google saying this:

From the Dashboard page, go to Widgets > Product reviews section > Customize.

On 2.0 themes

You just need to click on Add to theme, and a block will be auto-added to your product page.
Please remember to Save the change.

On 1.0 themes

How to show product review section on Home page

| It is easier to move the widget position when you create a block yourself following the guideline below.

LAI product review section block is not available on Home page in 1.0 themes, please follow this guideline to show Advanced widgets on 1.0 themes:
Step 1: Select a theme where you want to show LAI widgets. Click on Edit code.
Step 2: Under Sections, click on Add a new section:

|| The four following widgets are under the LAI Reviews Widget section on the Shopify theme editor. ||

Advanced widgets include:

Card carousel: Display reviews in a slider with multiple arrangements. Reviews including both photos and text are acceptable to show with this layout.
Card grid: Show selected reviews on your favorite pages. Reviews including both photos and text are acceptable to show with this layout.
Testimonial carousel: Showcase review content only with a minimal layout. Only text of reviews is acceptable to show with this layout.
Media gallery: Present your most artsy pictures to catch your customers' eyes. Only photos of reviews are acceptable to show with this layout.

Q1: Where does the star rating show?

The star rating shows right under product title as default. It's clickable and directs you to the review section.

Q2: How to show the average rating instead of the total number of reviews?

Step 1: Please go to Display > Tick Show star rating texts

Step 2: Replace n with average_rating
